Welcome to my 2013 high school science fair project! For this year's project, I've decided to conduct a simple study to see if there are relationships between the numbers people see and colors that may come to mind. I thought of this project after reading an article about Synesthesia. In short, Synesthesia is a condition where stimulation from touching, tasting, seeing, smelling, or even thinking about something unknowingly makes us relate this input to something else. Color Synesthesia (Grapheme) is a form of Synesthesia where people relate numbers or letters to colors. For this project I've decided to focus on Color Synesthesia, to see if I can find a relationship between how people view numbers and colors. The test is easy, you will be presented with a random number from and a set of randomly ordered colors or color names. Choose the color that best matches the number you're shown. That's it!!!
